The PAM2804 is a step-down constant current LED driver supporting input voltages from 2.5V to 6.0V with up to 1A output current. It features an internal synchronous rectifier, 1.5MHz switching frequency, and achieves 93% efficiency with a 0.1V feedback threshold for precise current regulation. Ideal for single-cell Li-Ion or multi-cell battery-powered flashlights and LED applications requiring low quiescent current (180µA typical).

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23-5 packages are extremely difficult to hand-solder due to 0.95mm pin pitch and tiny leads, making breadboarding impossible. A breakout board breaks out all five pins to standard 0.1" spacing, enabling reliable prototyping without micro-soldering skills or specialized equipment.
